The Museum at FIT in New York City is currently hosting an exhibit dedicated to the history of America's favorite fabric!
The exhibit showcases how denim transformed from a utilitarian garment—a work uniform for men on the farm or in the field—into a symbol of freedom and liberalism in Western culture. Iconic denim moments such as Marlon Brando wearing jeans and a biker jacket in The Wild One and Brooke Shields wearing her Calvin Klein jeans starring for ad campaigns contribute to America's image today.
Through May 7, 2016, stop by to see the collection of truly vintage denim pieces, as well as fashion favorites from the runway over the years.
