Zermatt

Laura recounts her trip to Zermatt in August 2014...

"Our first stop was Lucerne for two nights this was amazing little town on the water, then off to Zermatt!"

"Great unexpected food at the restaurants, live music and great beer! We ate a lot of cheese—it was the main course at most restaurants."

"Hotel Julen was a small luxe boutique hotel with the best food and customer service run by a lovely family the staff was amazing."

"We stumbled across a rotary annual party they had great music live bands and you could buy amazing bottles of wine to bring to your table. People are so friendly there!"

"The town was charming—it was only a few miles long so easy to get around.  Every morning they had the running of the goats roaming through the center of town."

"As far as hiking, they have all different ways to get to the top of the mountains or half way up using sky lifts or trams.  At various parts of the mountains, they had a reward for the climb besides the amazing views."

"The reason we went in the first place was so Conrad and Mark could climb the Matterhorn—unfortunately is was closed do to bad weather.  But they did another more difficult climb which was an over nighter in the snow and crossing glaciers."

"There was something for everyone—we had 18 family members with us and everyone was happy and had a great time!"
